Petar Petyoshin, of Edgartown, pleaded guilty to one count of armed robbery in October and was sentenced to 100 months in prison on Monday, Feb. 5, the US Attorney for Massachusetts said. He faced a potential 25-year prison sentence.

Investigators said Petyoshin robbed the Rockland Trust Bank branch in the Cape Cod town of Falmouth on April 8, wearing a blonde wig and face mask and pointing a pistol. He put an object on the counter that he claimed was a bomb and told tellers, "I'm robbing you," federal prosecutors said.

Petyoshin zip-tied employees' and customers' hands, stuffed $20,000 in cash into a grocery bag, and drove away in one of the customer's cars, federal officials said.

The robber wore a blonde wig, sunglasses, and a black jacket.

Petyoshin owned the clothing store Dapper Martha's Vineyard in Oak Bluffs. Police found the sunglasses, jacket, and wig the robber wore advertised on the store's Facebook page

The store closed in December.

Police searched his home in May and found thousands of dollars in cash bundled in Rockland Trust money bands, zip ties, and clothes that matched the robber's outfit, officials said.
